Whatever obstacles are in your life, shake them off.  You don’t have time to get down. You don’t have time to analyze each detail. All you need is assuring faith to sustain you. Tell God, “This is all yours – everything that I have.” At the same time, run with your whole being after what God has placed in your heart. Take the limits off of God!

We are human and it’s easy to doubt, but that’s where you have to hold fast to the profession of your faith. Speak the promises of God. Let the weak say you are strong! Let the poor say you are rich! Don’t stay passive when you’re down. Stay active!  Be encouraged by the men and women in the past that lived extraordinary living.

Hebrews 12:1 says, “Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders us and the sin that so easily entangles us, and let us keep running with endurance the race that is set before us.”  The great cloud of witnesses surrounding us is the testimonies of men and women who lived in great faith before us.

You have a destiny you’re supposed to fulfill in God. When I met Eric, he wasn’t the NBA star he is today. He was a college athlete struggling from the free throw line. When he got drafted, he went second round and did not get a guaranteed contract; nevertheless, he was always the first one at practice and the last to leave.  He would say, “I could accept not being good enough, but I couldn’t accept not trying hard enough.” His hard work paid off!

Michael Jordan didn’t even make the high school basketball team at first. He was told he wasn’t good enough. I was told by one of my own family members that I would never amount to anything. If we let what other’s say keep us from dreaming, then we let the enemy win.

The great men of the Bible had several things in common. They all had a vision. They wrote down their vision. They spoke their vision aloud. They all had faith. They all had a positive outlook on life. These men had fierce determination. They didn’t stop at anything!

Habakkuk says that without vision the people perish. In the mind of inventor Edwin C. Barnes, there was more than just a hope and a vision. Before he even met Thomas A. Edison, he already saw himself as his business partner.

Your mind can greatly affect your success. The Bible even says, “for as a man thinks in His heart, so is he.” That means that you and I have to change the way we think by renewing our minds daily. We have to put around us pictures and images of our visions, so that we can be constantly reminded of the dream and vision inside. Then we have to take it a step further and speak into existence, by faith, what is in our heart. The Bible says to hold fast the profession of our faith.

Jesus himself said, in Matthew 17:20, “I tell you with certainty, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible to you.”

Every single day, speak into existence the things God says about us. That is essential to living an extraordinary life. As you go on with your day, reflect on these things:

•    Give all your obstacles over to God.
•    Speak the promises of God.
•    Don’t believe the naysayers.
•    Follow the examples of leaders before us.

Re: Take the Limits Off Of God

Deshawn I do believe we need to take the limitst off of God because he has so many plans for our life but because we keep looking with our natural eyes and not spiritual eyes therefore we don't believe that Christ can open doors for us. I believe that if we Acknowledge his Blood, Death, Burial and resurrection.

you can found this in 1 Cor 15 1-4 read three times a day and believe in your heart.

Chapter 15

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Re: Take the Limits Off Of God

Stay grounded and rooted in the Grace message Lashawn this is where we are justified and where we are saved by acknowledging his blood death burial and ressurection over in the new testament all the law was for was to teach us about the returning of the risin ressurected glorified Christ Jesus which is our hope of glory.remember how jesus had to fulfill the law was not by just going to the cross but by acsending up high to the father where he had to take all man kind blood for the rewmmision of sins and then he had to come back in spirit to the body of believers (which are us the Gentiles)see alot of people can preach or share things from the law because that was Gods earthly ministry but when we here about Jesus Christ over in the new testament which is called Pauls epistle youl find that not too many pastors bishops...can preach on Gods heavenly ministry...the holy spirit wants to show us about how to rightly divide the bible meaning all the bible is for us, but Paul to us the body of believers...more where this present day truth comes from and LASHAWN we all are going to be judge by this and this alone not about the works we do from the law thats why the holy spirit over in the grace message says the only work he wants for us to do is to believe this common faith which is over in 1 Cor 15 1-4,and to confirm this 1 Gal 6-9...the holy spirit wants to give us spiritual heart knowledge not head knowledge (col 2 vr 8)and last for now (Titus3 vrs 9-11)...may the grace of God be extended to you and your fam....2 tim 2 vrs 15

Re: Take the Limits Off Of God

Praise God for your message in today's devotion on Streaming Faith DeShawn. Thank you Sis for reminding me of the gifts that God has placed inside of me and for me to Not Be Distracted. I've been distracted by things that I thought were more important than the Action of Being about my Father's business through me. Thank You....Be Blessed....have to go and get BACK in MY lane. God Bless Your Life Sister. (Streaming Faith msg dated 7/8/09)

Re: Take the Limits Off Of God

I need and needed that...I feel that I am destined for greatness (the visions I have for my self and family) are off the chain, however, the "right now" resources are none existence. I feel like giving up or throwing in the towel to accept where I am and who I currently am in life right now. It seems hopeless, but I LITERALLY have to encourage myself daily daily that is will not be like this always, although I truly do not understand. Right now, I am praying that I am in the right places, at the right time, and for Divine Connections, because I have no time to miss the move/miracles of God, and if I am not there I will miss it. Thanks for creating the website, it has allowed an outlet for me to express myself, instead of holding it all in..writing in itself can be healing. Thanks

Re: Take the Limits Off Of God

Thank you for encouraging me. I have doubted myself long enough. I decree that I will take the limits off God and persue my destiny as an author. I have written five novels but have been hindered with getting them published. Procrastination will choke God's progress, and learning how to seige the moment is important. Fear of failure oftentimes stops one from attempting to achieve what looks like impossible dreams. Fortunately for us God is a Master of the impossible! Look For me because I'm coming soon to a bookstore near you in Jesus Name!

Re: Take the Limits Off Of God

What a wonderful website DeShawn!! I thank God for using you in this way. I am familiar with your name and your foundation by watching you on the House Wives of Atlanta, while I didn't really think the show was for a woman like you, it certainly did allow many women to become familiar with your bigger purpose and mission presently I am so glad to know that you are now a Streaming Faith guest Columnist and do look forward to reading your devotions. God is working though you and with you. Many blessings.
