Finding Happily Ever After

Scripture Reference: Psalm 139: 13-16

As little girls, we grow up wishing for a fairytale life. As we grow older, we realize that life is not at all like a storybook – hard times aren’t always followed by happily ever after. But through it all, we learn that with God, we can get through anything. We go to church, read the Bible, hear other people’s testimonies, and even give a few testimonies of our own. We manage just fine, despite the harshness of reality.

I Just Wanted to Say...

Rest In Peace Grandma Shirley
I Love You!

One day a woman’s husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn’t “anymore.” No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute."

Sometimes, what we care about the most
gets all used up and goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, say "I love you."

You Have To Start Somewhere

You don’t have to worry how your life is going to play out because God already has it written! We look at the great men and women of God today, like the influential individuals on TV, the movies and the radio. We assume they’ve always been confident, effective and well put together! But that’s not the case. Everyone begins somewhere.

Keep Your Eyes On The Prize

Action is fierce.
Action does not give up.
Action prepares you for opportunity.

One of the most common vision killers (and joy stealers) is being distracted from the action you’re supposed to take. When you take your eyes off of Jesus and what He’s placed in your heart, your strength will fail.

Dare To Pray Boldly

Dare to prophesy every blessing and promise He has for you. Studying what God's word says is crucial to your vision. The Bible says in Psalm 1, "But His delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prosper.

Take the Limits Off Of God

Whatever obstacles are in your life, shake them off. You don’t have time to get down. You don’t have time to analyze each detail. All you need is assuring faith to sustain you. Tell God, “This is all yours – everything that I have.” At the same time, run with your whole being after what God has placed in your heart. Take the limits off of God!

Get In The Spirit And Dream

Sometimes you have to get away to pray in the spirit, worship, truly focus on Him and listen. Then, through the Holy Spirit, we can see and hear God’s desires more clearly. God’s desires become our desires when we are walking closely with Him.

Women: It's Time To Get Determined!

Women of God, you and I all have a destiny to pursue, to change this world for the glory of God; but there is one essential secret, the key that must unfold and carry on to unlock the potential in your life – the key that changes ordinary lives to extraordinary lives is purpose and vision.

Turning Your Trials Into Triumphs

Have you ever felt that nothing in your life is going right? You try to do everything that you are required to do. You take great care of your children. You try to help others when you are able to. Yet every time you manage to take two steps forward, something happens that causes you to take three steps back. No matter what you try to do, it seems like you can’t win for losing.

The Importance of Family

One week before Christmas, my aunt Debbie passed away. She had been in and out of the hospital and rehabilitation center for the past six months. And while there is some uncertainty about her actual cause of death, one thing for certain, I know that she is in a better place and is no longer suffering.

Debbie is the oldest sister of my father. Although I was not as close to my father’s side of the family as I was to my mother’s side, Debbie would always come to all of my events (graduation, wedding, children’s birthday parties, etc).
