I suscribe to a magazine that I've loved since I began to read.  But why is it that skinny models always be on the cover!!Even on TV, and on the runway.  Someone please tell me what's going on .

Tia,

That is an age old question! It has been this way for many decades now and will probably continue to be. I am not sure which magazines you subscribe to, but I can assure you the mainstream ones will always have the skinnier model-types on their covers and within their pages. There are other magazines out there that target a more diverse audience and features the average looking woman on the covers and inside the pages. Just keep looking!

This is a prime example of why we can't allow the mainstream media to dictate to us what beauty is! We must learn to love ourselves, flaws and all, and pass this lesson on to our daughters/nieces/granddaughters/cousins/brothers/sisters! If we wait for the media or the majority of those living in America to tell us we are beautiful, we will have a lonnnnnnggggggg wait! As I forestated, there are magazines out there that celebrate the diversity in our culture and they feature beautiful people of all ages, sizes, colors and hues on their covers. Start subscribing to some of those and giving them your support!

Be blessed,
Sharon
